Hey Guys, what's up?
So, Mashape is a Dead Simple Mashup Engine that allows people to create easily any kind of web application as soon as possible. I don't remember clearly all the details, but we can divide the past of Mashape in two steps...
Nucleus Stage
All started as a project between two friends who want simply give the ability to everybody to create new web applications easier and faster than ever. We started to make research and fix the theory behind that in our apartment, it was in early 2008. It took almost a year to arrive at some point were something could works at least on papers, charts and phantasmagoric algorithms ;)
Euphoric Stage
In April 2009, we decided to have enough material to think that is time to begin Mashape. Thus, it was time to get serious and we crashed in a garage to start the code. The company was founded on July 20, 2009.

Mashape comes from the fusion between the words "mash" and "shape".
Augusto is a passionate guy about every hard technology that can have an impact on people's life. Usually he claims to transform the world in one click, but thanks to the co-founders, they put him down to the ground when he is dreaming too much. During his free time Augusto can be found 3000 miles above Napa Valley, while he is Skydiving.
Marco loves to hack every piece of code (in a good way) to manipulate the antimatter and the cosmic sound. Sometimes he goes into the flow so deep that no one can see him. For the most of the day Marco lives in another dimension. Fortunately, we can rescue him thanks to the Time Machine that he has built while he was in an exploration on the Java Planet.
Michele is slightly addicted to rock hard with his magic potions of bits. He comes to the Earth via an asteroid and the Prof. Albert Einstein said that he was the first intelligent life form to travel at the speed of light. He doesn't like roller coasters, but you can find him at the Large Hadron Collider while he is making a couple of loops at 186,000 miles per second.
Jude is the founder of Heyzap, a cool gaming startup backed by YCombinator and Union Square Ventures. He was born in London and holds a BSc in Engineering and Management from the UK's Cambridge University. During his final year of University he started Sugar Global, a digital photo frame brand, making sales to UK stores including Harrods, Selfridges, Amazon and Firebox.com. After Sugar Global, Jude went on to found an charity gaming site (helpthirst) in contract with WorldVision.
